During the 2nd fortnight of September, the Bibliothèque Pierre Perret de Waremme, as well as many local partners, organize the Luttopie festival. On the program: shows, workshops, conferences, literary meetings, cine-debates, to resist hateful speeches, ignorance, and fear; cultivate debate, curiosity, and wonder; deconstruct ready-made thinking and build living together.
________
Summary of the show:
This committed show mixes songs and texts: poems, excerpts from novels, or monologues.
The company succeeds in making the link between the rise of the far right today and that of Nazism in the 30s, which shows how the financial support of large industrialists was essential to Hitler's election, which denounces how these industrialists profited from this deadly regime, which questions our blindness in the face of these old mechanisms brought up to date throughout Europe, which pays tribute to all the resistances whether they are from yesterday or today.

"Thus begins fascism. It never says its name, it crawls, it floats,
When it shows the tip of its nose, we say: is it him? Do you think? We shouldn't exaggerate!
And then one day we take it in the face and it's too late to expel it." - FRANÇOISE GIROUD
________
A theatrical creation by the company La Vie en Rouge.
Programming in partnership with the Bibliothèque Pierre Perret as part of the Festival Luttopie.
