Glück ist Vielfalt is a voluntary Fotoprojekt der Fotografin Jenny Klestil that puts people from East Belgium in the spotlight. From October 29 onwards, the exhibition can be seen for three weeks in Triangel St. Vith.
For many years, Jenny Klestil has been committed to inclusion, diversity, and social cohesion through her photography. With her project "Glück kennt keine Behinderung" she has already realized over 200 exhibitions throughout the German-speaking region and given a stage to thousands of people whose stories are often told far too infrequently.
Mit Glück ist Vielfalt now consciously directs its gaze toward East Belgium. Die Ausstellung shows people from the region with very different life stories: people with visible and invisible impairments, with special challenges, extraordinary life paths, or inspiring commitment to their fellow human beings. Likewise, places that shape togetherness in East Belgium and make diversity experienceable every day are included.
Jedes Portrait tells a personal story. It is about courage, friendship, cohesion, hope, loss, new beginnings, and the realization that every person is more than what one sees at first glance.
Alle Portraits and stories were created as part of a fully voluntary project. For Viele Monate, Jenny Klestil traveled all over East Belgium to visit people, listen to them, and capture their stories photographically. The result is an exhibition that aims to touch, inspire thought, and above all create encounters.
Glück ist Vielfalt invites you to dismantle prejudices, understand differences as an enrichment, and get to know the people behind the stories. Denn Vielfalt begins where we meet each other openly.
