FluteLab BXL: ensemble of 10 to 15 recorder players

The young Brussels recorder collective FluteLab BXL consists of teachers and former and current students of the renowned recorder class of the Conservatoire Royal de Bruxelles. The 10 to 15-member ensemble plays through music history in an enchanting, carefree, virtuosic, and swinging way, based on their own arrangements. FluteLab BXL plays on recorders of all sizes and that... always from memory! This season's program includes music by Piazzolla, Vivaldi, Bach, Geysen, and even a world premiere by the Bremen/Brussels composer David Helbich. FluteLab BXL has already performed at the Recorder Days in Mechelen, the early music festival FestiVita! in Brussels, in Lille, and this summer at the Midis Minimes concerts! Les Polyfolies de la flûte à bec in Lille, the Oude Muziekfestival FestiVita! in Brussels, and in June 2026 also the recorder festival BlockMünster in Münster.
