In collaboration with Madam Fortuna. Think Again is a unique female group of musicians from all corners of the world. They bring a compelling concert with contemporary reworkings of music from, among others, Lebanon, Iraq, Colombia, Palestine, and Sudan, supplemented with their own compositions. On stage, traditional instruments and vocals enter into a dialogue with modern sounds. Vocals, cuatro, tombak, clarinet, piano, violin, guitar, and bass guitar resonate in innovative arrangements and multilingual voices. Each song forms a bridge between cultures – a tribute to heritage and a creative reinvention. This is not classic 'world music’, but a lively, collective musical work in constant motion. Think Again breathes an infectious energy: a group of women who embrace diversity as a strength and use art as a universal language. The concert is an ode to openness, to the beauty of mixing, to music as a place of freedom. Everybody Loves Touda (2024) Touda is a sheikha, meaning a traditional Moroccan singer and dancer. To make ends meet, she currently performs in provincial cafés under the eager eyes of men, although Touda has conceived the plan to move to Casablanca. There, she wants to be recognized as an artist and secure a better life for her deaf-mute son and herself. Regisseur Nabil Ayouch is back in Cannes with EVERYBODY LOVES TOUDA, a film about the position of women in Moroccan society. Touda dreams of being a Sheikha, a traditional Moroccan performer who sings about resistance, love, and emancipation. She hopes for recognition to secure a better future for her son and herself.
