Grandparents for the Climate

At what scale can we tackle planetary climate challenges? The climate crisis is striking everywhere. Nature is being severely tested by thoughtless human actions. At an unprecedented pace, all kinds of species with whom we share the planet are disappearing. The web of life is losing resilience. And inequality between people is increasing rapidly. Eric Corijn, prof. em. VUB and ambassador for Grandparents for the Climate, addresses these major challenges. He wonders at what level these problems can be tackled: the global, European, national, Flemish, or local? Our world seems adrift and more divided than ever. Together with Eric, we look for answers to the following questions: This leaves no one untouched, but are we still sufficiently committed to defending our democracy and our planet? What values are we still willing to fight for and how do we best go about it? Do young people still feel called to unite? In short: (how) can you as a citizen still make a difference?
