Vlakland supports India

Vlakland brings a beautiful selection of 75 years of Dutch-language music. Enjoy an evening full of music and help build the future of young girls in India. Shana Oyen, Wim Van Caelenbergh, Tim Vandermeulen, Arne De Schepper, Maarten De Schepper and Arnold De Schepper dive together into the rich musical treasure of the Lage Landen . They bring a varied selection of Belpop and Dutch rock, interspersed with moving cabaret and timeless chansons. A feast of recognition for those who love classics. But this concert is more than just music. For Met Vlakland, we also want to make a difference. With this performance, Vlakland supports St. Francis Xavier Cottage , an orphanage in Pondicherry, India, where girls from vulnerable situations find a safe home. In addition to shelter and basic care, they also receive opportunities for education and thus for an independent future. The connection to this project is personal: Shana’s mom grew up in Pondicherry, India, and returned to her birth village for the first time two years ago. From that experience, the desire arose to be able to mean something more. Because education there is anything but self-evident, we want to contribute to the study opportunities of these girls with this performance. The proceeds go entirely to the orphanage and will be handed over personally and on-site this summer
