Le Parc Tenbosch and its surrounding streets

Tenbosch Park in Ixelles is a piece of preserved nature in the heart of a densely built neighborhood. The constructions of the surrounding streets offer a varied range of styles ranging from 1900 to 1930: eclecticism, Beaux-Arts, Art Déco, and modernism. Jean-Louis Semet, dendrologist and former owner of almost the entire block, transformed this former private garden into an arboretum in 1953. In the 1980s, the block narrowly escaped a real estate project and opened to the public.
