Guided tour: Slow looking at art

Slow down. Look longer. See more. Every first Sunday of the month, FOMU invites you for a tour of the exhibitions. During this workshop, you consciously take the time to really look. Without haste or distraction. Together with a guide, you will stay with one photo for several minutes. Afterward, you will engage in a conversation about what you see and experience using simple questions. You can participate actively or just listen. Everyone looks differently. That is exactly what makes this tour so special. You don't need any prior knowledge. With the help of Visual Thinking Strategies - a conversation method that starts from what you see yourself - the guide facilitates the conversation. By looking slowly together, you discover new details, thoughts, and perspectives. Practical info Dates : April 5, May 3, July 5 & August 2, 2026, always from 2:30 PM – 3:30 PM Start promptly at 2:30 PM in the entrance hall (across from the elevator) of FOMU. You can recognize the guide by the FOMU sweater and T-shirt. Duration : 60 minutes Language : Dutch Participation is free with a valid entrance ticket; book your ticket in advance. You do not need any prior knowledge to follow the tour - everyone can participate.
