This activity is fully booked. Tour of Brussels resistance stories from the Tweede Wereldoorlog For several years, the association Heroes of the Resistance has been committed to keeping the memory of resistance members and acts from the Tweede Wereldoorlog alive. On May 13, we will walk through the Brussels city center with one of their historians. We will encounter numerous stories: about successful and less successful acts of resistance, about secret resistance groups, about informants and betrayal, about arrests, deportations, and executions, etc. We will meet courageous people who risked their lives in a fight against the fascist occupier, rolling up their sleeves for both large and small acts of resistance, e.g., gathering intelligence, printing and distributing underground press, providing shelter to wanted citizens, but also sabotage and attacks. Many of these stories are hardly known anymore, and we would like to change that with this guided walk.
