In a disenchanted world, where the earth has been entirely codified, inspected and dried out, only a single garden remains: a tiny, almost pathetic place, forgotten by maps and the digital machinery. It is there that Thalia lives, the friend of birds, horticulturist and poet, the ultimate survivor of a sensitive universe. She speaks to plants, listens to the wind, invents songs and cultivates slowness. She does not see herself as a resister: she simply lives. But another woman bursts into this square of earth. Her name is Aurélise. She comes from that world where poets are forbidden and where only engineers rule the world. Aurélise cannot reconcile herself with this universe of technicity and AI. She is searching. So, together, Aurélise and Thalia will try to speak to each other, to understand the music of the human being. To reach out to one another through language where one is not afraid of birds, where eating a real apple is not a miracle, where laughter is not forbidden. The challenge is great for both women: to find the words to tell the world that dream, hope, fraternity and love are not values to be proscribed, that nothing is lost. And that one day, finally, the entire world will be this last garden.
