We will discover not only KAFTANORAMA, but also the permanent collection of the museum. We begin with the permanent collection of MoMuse. Together we discover how Molenbeek changed through the centuries: from a medieval village to the bustling, diverse city of today. Who lived here? How did people live? How did work, education and daily life change? A guide takes us through the stories of the people of Molenbeek. Then we dive into the world of the Moroccan kaftan. The kaftan is much more than a beautiful garment. It is textiles of memory, identity and tradition. We discover different styles, fabrics and techniques and learn how generations of craftsmanship have kept this tradition alive. After the tour we will drink a delicious mint tea together and get to work ourselves.
