Friends of the Earth Europe, Brussels
Gratuit
From June 29 to July 1, we are hosting in Brussels a group of parents whose children have been affected by exposure to pesticides, in the context of the issues surrounding the deregulation of pesticides.
To mark this event, we are organizing a screening session of the documentary "Contrepoisons: Un combat citoyen" (Counter-poisons: A citizen's fight).
- Date & time: Monday, June 29 at 7:00 PM
- Location: Mundo Matongé, Rue d'Edimbourg 26, 1050 Ixelles
Après After the screening, a debate will take place with the delegation of parents and Chloé Mikolajczak, activist for environmental and social justice. This exchange will offer the opportunity to listen directly to those who are on the front line in the fight for a toxic-free future.
About the film: En Loire-Atlantic, in Sainte-Pazanne, an epidemic of pediatric cancers exceeds the national average by four times. Yet, nothing is moving. The analyses are sloppy, the Agences de Santé justify their inaction with statistics, and politicians look away. Faced with this inertia and a new case every six months, the parents mobilized. Joined by neighbors and friends, they formed a task force composed of a renowned lawyer, a health sociologist, and a renowned toxicologist. Their challenge: to conduct a rigorous investigation to approach the truth and stop this infernal spiral. Directed by Valéry Gaillard and Jean-François Corty.
