From the beginning of the day on August 9, our joyful Buumdroegers go to the Forêt de Soignes to cut the tree of Meyboom (The tree of joy), after which they travel through the municipalities of Etterbeek, Schaerbeek, Saint-Josse-ten-Noode. Then they present the tree to the Grand Place de Bruxelles and also to the city authorities. They arrive shortly before 4:30 PM in the neighborhood below the old Basfonds.
