Meet your Weeds : lush green for original salads

Bij Velt we organize pleasant meetings with your weeds in the Gentse Parkbos. Until now, you probably pulled the weeds out mercilessly. But actually ... Do you have any idea what it would have become? Maybe a very beautiful and tasty plant? High time to get to know the spontaneous vegetation in your area better. Native plants are, by the way, particularly valuable for biodiversity. They are the food for local butterflies, bees, and birds Through the gardens, we as the Association for Ecologisch Leven and Gardening can contribute to that biodiversity. There is huge potential. In Vlaanderen gardens take up three times as much surface area as nature reserves. So we are happy to make you a bit milder towards wild plants. Come along on our 'Meet Your Weeds'- walks. Don't expect an all-knowing guide, we learn from each other in a casual atmosphere. Enjoy the beautiful Parkbos, get to know its flora, and take that knowledge to your own environment.
