Brabantse Parels

In June 2026, Davidsfonds Reet will go on a cultural trip for the 26th time. For the first time, we are making a three-day trip, entirely within our own country. We are going in search of Brabantse Parels, unique experiences in nature and the culture of Vlaams Brabant, Brussels, and Waals Brabant. We will stay at Hotel Martins **** in Louvain-la-Neuve, where the university UCL is celebrating its 600th anniversary. The hotel has a restaurant and bar, garden and terrace, a swimming pool, free WIFI, and spacious rooms with private bathrooms. We will travel in a luxury coach from Reizen Lauwers in the company of an experienced tour guide and driver. We will visit, among other things, cultural gems (always or almost always with a Dutch-speaking guide) such as Villa Empain in Brussels, the magical ruins of the abbey in Villers-la-Ville, the unforgettable garden and the beautiful collection of the Stichting Folon in Terhulpen, and an art-deco temple with a grand panorama in the Basiliek van Koekelberg. But we will also see the glory of historical trains in Train World and the new city of Louvain-la-Neuve with plenty of student atmosphere, architectural gems, and the Tintin Museum. Naturally, we will ensure cozy meals and a high-level culinary finale at the Auberge Napoleon in Meise. Together, we will make it an unforgettable trip again. Included in the travel price: 2 x accommodation with breakfast, transport by luxury coach, 2 x dinner at the hotel, 1 x gourmet dinner and 3 x lunch (drinks included with these meals), all visits (including guide where applicable), an aperitif in the city, and all legal taxes and costs.
