The Church of Saint John the Baptist at the Béguinage, Brussels
Gratuit
The 14th Organ Festival in the Beguinage Church in Brussels opens with a unique concert: seven organists of the Bachverein will perform a program centered on the composer members of the Society of Musical Sciences, founded by Lorenz Christoph Mizler. Among these 20 illustrious members are giants of baroque music such as Johann Sebastian Bach, Georg Friedrich Haendel, Georg Philipp Telemann, and Carl Heinrich Graun.
Stéphane BAETEN, Ivan CAYRON, Walter CORTEN, Louis GEORGES, Jean GOEMAERE, Guy VAN WAAS, and Yuko WATAYA will introduce the public to splendid, often overlooked works of this 18th-century learned society. A rare opportunity to plunge into the musical universe of these masters, brought together by their membership in an exceptional circle.
A discovery-concert accessible to all, to celebrate the opening of the festival in style.
