After a notable appearance at De Roma in March 2023, Death Cab for Cuties is preparing to find its Belgian audience this year! The American group will perform in Brussels on the Cirque Royal stage on Wednesday, September 30, 2026, as part of its new tour I Built You A Tower EU/UK Tour. An evening that promises to be full of emotions with one of the most striking indie rock bands of its generation. Formed in 1997 in Bellingham, Washington, Death Cab for Cutie has established itself over the years as a reference of the American indie scene. Led by singer and songwriter Ben Gibbard, the group became known thanks to albums that became cult like "Transatlanticism" (2003) and "Plans" (2005), both certified platinum. Their tenth studio album, "Asphalt Meadows", released in 2022, confirms their ability to evolve while retaining the emotion and sensitivity that made their signature. Nearly thirty years after its debut, the group, now composed of Ben Gibbard, Nick Harmer, Jason McGerr, Dave Depper, and Zac Rae, has eight nominations for Grammy Awards and remains a major figure of alternative rock. Between folk heritage and pop sensitivity, their songs continue to explore with finesse the themes of memory, the passage of time, and human relationships.
