Seniors' Week

From June 6 to 12, the municipal social service is offering a week entirely dedicated to seniors at the Maison des Papeteries. During these few days, seniors from the municipality are invited to meet up, chat, discover, and share friendly moments through various activities specially designed for them. This themed week aims to foster encounters, stimulate curiosity, and promote well-being. Several activities are planned: Saturday 6/06 at 3:00 PM: Free concert "Musical Moments" at the Mahiermont hall / Artists "Les anchoises" Monday 8/06 from 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM: Distribution of yellow boxes in the municipal Verrière (no registration required). The yellow box is a preventive device placed in the fridge intended to serve as an information relay during life accidents and in case of wandering for patients with neurodegenerative diseases. It is the size of a yellow lunchbox and has a sticker. Tuesday 9/06 from 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM: Café Papet' Special "My digital struggle". Coffee debate in collaboration with the public digital space regarding difficulties linked to the complexity of digitalization. Wednesday 10/06 at 9:30 AM and 11:00 AM: 2 introductory QI GONG sessions will take place at the Maison des Papeteries in Genval. QI GONG is a wellness art through breathing and slow movements. Thursday 11/06 at 2:00 PM: Film screening at Ciné Centre: "Juste une illusion", a 2026 French film, a comedy-drama by Nakache and Toledano. Friday 12/06 at 2:00 PM: Conference-activity at the Maison des Papeteries in Genval, themed on ageism.
