Day trip to the Herve region

To the east of Liège lies the charming Herve region, a landscape of gently rolling hills, green meadows, and picturesque villages. It is a region where time seems to go a little slower and where traditions and local products are still very much alive. The region is mainly known for its famous Herve cheese, but also for its orchards, syrup, and artisanal products. During this day trip, we will discover a piece of authentic Wallonia. We depart promptly at 7:00 AM from 't Brieleke in Wommelgem. In Herve we will be welcomed at the Herviscoop by the tourist office with coffee and a croissant. Afterward, we will visit the Val-Dieu Abbey, where the brewery is also located and where a tasting is, of course, a must. At noon, we will enjoy a 3-course menu in the region. In the afternoon, we will visit a traditional syrup factory in Aubel. Subsequently, we will take a guided bus tour through the beautiful Herve landscape, after which we will end again at the Herviscoop for a tasting of local products. A day full of nature, history, local products, and cozy togetherness. Depending on traffic, we will be back in Wommelgem around 7:30 PM.
