Badger spotting in the Voer region

Head into the woods and meadows of the picturesquely beautiful Voer region with Landschap vzw to spot badgers. A particularly exclusive nature experience because the number of participants is strictly limited to ten. Since it concerns wild nature, we ask you to wear 'quiet' and dark clothing. So no squeaking boots or brightly crackling raincoats, but for example a wool sweater or fleece. Avoid loud colors! Perfume, aftershave, deodorant, insect spray, mosquito milk, sunscreen, and all kinds of other ointments can also be disturbing and you are better off avoiding them. After all, we are dealing with animals that have an insanely good nose! The area we are visiting harbors quite a few mosquitoes and ticks. So preferably ensure long sleeves and long pants, because swatting mosquitoes is out of the question: after all, if we sit still, you have to remain as motionless as possible if you want to see a badger. In short: this activity stands or falls with the discipline of the participants. It is an exercise in being quiet and motionless, lifting feet well when we walk over stony paths at dusk, progressing slowly, and at the same time pure nature experience. Anyone who has binoculars would do well to bring them. Photography is allowed, but we cannot give any guarantee of top images. This activity is not intended or announced as a photography activity, but sometimes there are photographic opportunities. However, these differ greatly from one ‘badger evening’ to the other. Finally, also mention that we walk a few kilometers over hilly terrain. Although this excursion is not heavy at all, a minimum condition is really a must.
