A playful invitation to disappear, to observe, and to appear unexpectedly, at the intersection of interactive and visual art The brothers Tuur and Flup Marinus – ambitious artists with a background in choreography and visual arts respectively – look for ways to observe their environment while remaining invisible themselves. From a feeling of social inability, they develop strategies to be present without being seen. During De Langste Dag , you are invited to step into their disappearing huts yourself: a place to relax for a moment in the midst of the summer bustle. Or choose to surprise unsuspecting passers-by from such a hut with an unexpected movement. PRACTICAL Continuously at Boulevard Drie Gapers / the old swimming pool site from 10:30 AM to 8:00 PM ABOUT THE LONGEST DAY From sunrise to sunset. Artists move in and between Mu.ZEE and KAAP in Ostend. Various performances, some continuous. One visible and loud, the other barely perceptible. The actions follow the rhythm of the sun, the tides, and the clock. It will be a long day, almost the longest. Only when the sun sets does the happening end… and the afterparty begins. Concept & execution: Tuur and Flup Marinus
