ART EXHIBITION > Art for Tous Loin to be trivial, hair, like other body hair, crosses our existences and our imaginations. Painting, photography, video, installation, drawing or sculpture: as many languages summoned to question our relationship to this living, intimate and universal matter. Crossing the gazes of artists of yesterday and today with the presence of objects carrying stories, here is an exhibition that invites to a journey to the heart of a subject as familiar as it is charged with meaning. Without embracing all its richness, it favors a sensitive approach, made of resonances, connections and contrasts. Each visual ensemble composes a fragment of narrative, an invitation to look differently at what has accompanied us forever. Throughout a wandering then emerge stories of memory, identity, power, belonging or emancipation, where hairiness becomes the common thread of a human, intimate and universal experience. Be invited to discover the works of Denyse WILLEM, Robin WEN, Carine VERMAERCKE, Agathe RINGLET, François STRUZIK, Delphine SOMERS, Jean-Claude SERVAIS, Amandine NOTAERT & her creative workshop, NOIR Artist, Enthéa MALFONDET, Maxim LUX, Jean JANSSIS, Axelle HUSIKAMA, Harry HOLLAND, Delphine HACHEZ, Elyse GALIANO, Roger DERAEMAEKER, Martin DELLICOUR. Their creations dialogue with the gazes of artists from the 17th to the 20th centuries, among whom Barthélemy VIEILLEVOYE, Eugène VERDYEN, Louis Félix RHENASTEINE, Adrien LEPAGE, François DUCHATEL, Léon DEVOS, Paul DELVAUX, Cecco DEL CARAVAGGIO, Évariste CARPENTIER, Charles Joshua CHAPLIN, Marcel BEGON, Jean BEAUDUIN and André BOSMANS as well as with remarkable anonymous works. Without forgetting heritage objects and witnesses, also from public and private collections, which accompany this meeting.
