Nestled within the emblematic former police barracks, UR Square reinvents itself this summer as a vibrant open-air living space. From May 6 to September 20, "La Place" becomes a socio-cultural, inclusive, and quintessentially Brussels gathering spot, managed by Wonder Meï ASBL. This temporary occupation project transforms the site into a daily experimental ground for neighbors, students, and visitors. A Melting Pot of Activities for All: The Buvette's programming celebrates local culture and community spirit in every form. Throughout the season, you can enjoy: Music & Party: Live concerts, DJ sets highlighting emerging talent and female collectives, and "Open Decks" participatory sessions. Leisure & Games: Petanque tournaments, Mölkky, giant wooden games, and drag bingo to liven up your afternoons. Cinema & Culture: Outdoor screenings with Kinopenair and short film projections at dusk. Monthly Market: Once a month, the "Supermerket" showcases sustainable food, the circular economy, and local creators. Food & Drinks: Rotating food trucks, pay-what-you-can barbecues, and locally brewed beers and wines produced right here on-site.
