Fire the animals

Marie found an animal, a small dead animal on the side of a path. Was it hit? Did it die of old age? Be that as it may, we cannot leave it there, all alone, all lost, all squashed. We must bury it, celebrate it. Remember who it was, even if we didn't know it very well, and didn't know it at all. With the help of her musician friends, Marie will look for how to deal with death, how to accept it or at least make it more bearable thanks to rites, music, singing and friendship. Talking about death to children, through music and through the prism of "unknown" animals allows us to approach this theme in a slightly more detached way than when it comes to the death of a pet or a loved one. The original compositions, tinged with diverse influences ranging from Purcell to Kraftwerk, allow beauty to be breathed into these farewells. The instruments – keyboards, guitars and percussion – carry us; mourning can be a party, a goodbye with a brass band.
