Like a craving for a mustache

Worn by celebrities, the mustache is coming back into favor among 18-35 year olds. What if a simple hair above the lip said more than it seems? What do your links with the razor tell, gentlemen? Do your hairs really belong to you? From the film "Comme une envie de moustache" (Belgium, 2014), let's explore how men build their image, their identity and their place in society... hair included. The director, heir to a lineage of mustachioed men, conducted the investigation with historians, sociologists, specialists and convinced mustache wearers. He discovers that facial hair is shaved, maintained, drawn or asserted, but always fits into powerful codes: virility, authority, seduction, rebellion or conformism. In other words, hair is an intimate but highly social territory. Mixing testimonies, archives and humor, this documentary is the ideal support to start in a light way beautiful discussions around a subject more prickly than it seems!
