We have a limited number of discounted tickets for the closing concert 'Het Voorlaatste Carnaval der Dieren' of STROOM - Festival on Saturday afternoon, June 27 at 4:00 PM.
In Le Carnaval des animaux, the funniest work in classical music, lets composer Camille Saint-Saëns pass a colorful procession of animals in review: from the clumsy elephant to the slow tortoise. Five young composers from Belgium and the Netherlands added an animal to the collection at our request. The otter, the black grouse, the eel, and the coral each struggle in their own way with climate change. But the jellyfish thrives in it.
For the 'penultimate' carnival of the animals, festival thinker Jeroen Olyslaegers wrote a new text and puts on the top hat of the circus director to introduce the various animals to the audience himself.
Performed by members of Symfonieorkest Vlaanderen and Jeroen Olyslaegers as circus director and actor.
Tickets: members €32 - non-members €35
