Africa Legacy - Cradle of Art

Under the curation of Didier Claes, Africa Legacy brings together in Brussels more than 250 classical and contemporary works from private and institutional collections. Presented at the Espace Vanderborght with the support of the Ville de Bruxelles and the Centre Culturel Congolais, the exhibition offers an immersive journey across eras, revealing the continuity of African forms, symbols, and imaginaries.\n\nFrom classical art to contemporary creations, the visitor discovers a continent in motion, whose visual cultures have continually nurtured, inspired, and transformed the global history of art.\nAfrica Legacy invites above all to look, to feel, and to let oneself be touched by the beauty of the works, while affirming the essential place of Africa in the universal history of artistic creation.
