bvba Vandamme presents: Waterlanders

Na Alabadine (2024), the Roeselare-based bvba Vandamme is releasing a second album: Waterlanders . Once again, the group brings a series of acoustic arrangements with recognizable lyrics in their own regional dialect. This time with the sea as a common thread; life according to the tides, in the channels between ebb and flow. Expect both melancholic songs that feel like getting a breath of fresh air on the dike, and light-hearted tracks to keep you afloat. Together with partners Wannes Vandewiele (violin), Thomas Camerlynck (double bass), Jozef Vanhaecke (guitar), and Stijn Oyaert (accordion), mandolinist, singer, and lyricist Sam Vandamme has been working on this second record over the past year: a friendship between honest, intimate cabaret and playful, Flemish folk. Waterlanders will be released on CD and vinyl and can be purchased after the concert.
