Greg Houben Trio : My Way Musique Tout Public For this new project, Greg Houben chooses to start from songs that everyone knows, from those tunes inscribed in our collective memory: Love Me Tender, Con te partirò, Il venait d'avoir 18 ans, My Way... Familiar titles, sometimes having become popular monuments, which he approaches with great freedom, without seeking to demonstrate them or overload them. His idea is simple and beautiful: do less to say more. Fewer notes, fewer chords, fewer effects, but more truth in the interpretation. From these universal, immediately recognizable songs, he creates a direct link with the public, then slips in his own voice, his fragility, his humor, his melancholy, and his singular way of making emotions vibrate. Between cover, jazz, chanson, and confidence, My Way thus becomes a very personal journey into a repertoire shared by all. A music of proximity, carried by the pleasure of playing together and by this rare evidence: a few notes are sometimes enough to open wide the door of memories.
