Flow Factory Brussels welcomes Dalton Rhodes to Brussels for two exclusive heels and pole dance workshops: Friction and Contour Levels.
Known for his fluid movement, refined technique and distinctive style, Dalton Rhodes will share his approach to heels with Intermediate+ dancers during an afternoon dedicated to precision, musicality, seamless transitions and movement quality.
The first workshop, Friction, is a heels technique class focused on using the entire surface of the shoe. Through sequences involving gliding, skating and edgework, participants will explore unconventional pathways and learn how to use their weight to generate momentum for spins and move through seamless transitions.
The second workshop, Contour Levels, explores low flow transitions with threads. Dalton will share some of his favorite ways to move down to the floor and back up to the pole, with a strong focus on heels technique and clean transitional movement.
Both workshops are Intermediate+ level. For Friction, sandals are recommended and participants should feel comfortable supporting their body weight in split grips. For Contour Levels, participants should be comfortable supporting their body weight on the pole and moving through shoulder stands.
The workshops take place on Saturday September 5 at Flow Factory Brussels, a pole dance, yoga and movement studio located in Schaerbeek, near Brussels North Station.
Participants can join one workshop or experience both.
