The Trio

The trio brings jazz classics in an authentic but fresh way, with a wide range of styles: from blues and bossa nova to shuffle, ballads, and latin. Alternated with more modern gems (think of Brad Mehldau), a set full of warmth, finesse, and playing pleasure is created. Drummer Joris Peeters brought this fresh formation together with pianist Bram Weijters and bassist Mario Vermandel. What binds them is their broad musical background: from jazz and pop to cabaret, hip hop, and soul. You hear that cross-pollination in every note: recognizable, playful, and at the same time surprisingly rich.
