In BIG DEAL, based on the award-winning play Glengarry Glen Ross by successful author David Mamet, SKaGeN sketches an uncompromising portrait of who we have become, a quarter of a century into the new millennium. Donald Trump, Elon Musk, Jeff Bezos and Zhang Yiming rule the world. The ideology of profit-seeking is having its heyday and threatens to undermine the foundations of our democracy. In BIG DEAL, salespeople make each other's lives miserable in a ruthless battle for bonuses, leads, and their jobs. They manipulate, lie, and betray each other without scruples just to stay one step ahead in the hierarchy. Each character fights with a knife between their teeth - not to win but simply to survive. BIG DEAL unravels our addictive and often absurd behavior, driven by an all-encompassing urge for profit and success. The price for that is high.
