A wonderful sound blanket to lie down under – and for hours on end Pushing through past the comfortable, persevering for the sake of the experience itself: Morton Feldmans ‘Second String Quartet’ demands an almost physical surrender – albeit sitting, listening, wandering. In this five-and-a-half-hour musical journey, Feldman unfolds an almost timeless sound fabric, fragile and endlessly varying. Throughout the entire sitting, textile artist Leïla Pile will be weaving. The audience is free to walk in and out, listen in stages, or let themselves be carried away by the musicians until the finish.
