Sunday by bike: the Heierveld farm and the balloon hangar in Asse

Join us for a getaway to the hilly landscapes of the "Brabantse Kouters" northwest of Brussels. During this Sunday by bike to Asse, we combine nature, social commitment, and discovery of local heritage. Our main destination is the Hoeve Heierveld farm. It is not an ordinary farm, but a warm place where health, inclusion, and sustainability go hand in hand. Adults with mental disabilities find a rewarding daily activity there, but the farm is open to everyone. It is a space for meeting and relaxation. The highlights of this walk: Les Brabantse Kouters: Enjoy a green and varied landscape and the fresh air right at the gates of the city. Hoeve Heierveld: An inspiring meeting place that shows how agriculture and well-being reinforce each other. Historical heritage: On the way, we will stop in front of a very singular building: the former balloon hangar of the Eckstein aviation barracks, a unique piece of military history.
