Animals make sounds, clocks do too. One says “bim bam” or “ding dong”; the other “hee haw” or “hoo hoo” or “woof” or “meow”… But what they want to say exactly is not always clear. With people, that seems to be the case too. They do use words, but we don't always understand it yet. But is that always necessary? Do we always want to say something when we talk? Do sounds stand on their own? And what is music then? Do we perhaps want to tell something with music? Do we speak the same language after all? We will go on a search together. Not immediately to find answers, because the search itself is both means and goal. We discover animal sounds in music from Carnival of the Animaux van Camille Saint-Saëns to Dance Monkey and so much more. In short: a musical animal house, an interactive concert for children of all ages!
