Sentimental Value is the long-awaited new film by Joachim Trier. For this successor to The Worst Person in the World, Trier brings together an impressive cast, including Stellan Skarsgård, Elle Fanning, and once again Renate Reinsve. Zussen Nora (Renate Reinsve) and Agnes (Inga Ibsdotter Lilleaas) are reunited with their absent father Gustav (Stellan Skarsgård), once a renowned film director. He offers Nora, a theater actress, a role in the film that is to be his big comeback. When Wanneer Nora rejects the role, she discovers that he has given her role to the young Hollywoodster Rachel Kemp (Elle Fanning). The two sisters must face the difficult relationship with their father, and deal with an American star who has landed in the middle of their complex family relationships.
