Thibaut (Benjamin Lavernhe) is an internationally renowned conductor who leads concerts all over the world and lives in luxury. However, his life is turned upside down when he turns out to be ill. In search of a donor, he discovers that he is adopted and has a brother: Jimmy (Pierre Lottin), who works in a school canteen in the north of France. At first glance, the two have nothing in common, except for their shared love of music: Jimmy plays trombone in a local brass band. Wanneer Thibaut discovers Jimmy's unexpected talent and decides it is time to set the 'unequal fate' right. Jimmy, in turn, begins to dream of a completely different life...
