Nausca: concert film The Story of Lung-ta - support: Sophia Ammann

Met Nausca takes Mathijs Bertel in a completely new direction: one where music, image, and story flow together into a total experience. Four musicians and an arsenal of instruments and electronics tell the story of Lung-ta in an exclusive audiovisual show, built around 360° visuals and immersive sound. On a cold morning, a girl washes up on a raft. She wakes up and realizes that she is in a unique environment. On her journey, she tries to understand nature, the world around her. A world in which everything is one and indivisible, but which is also in bad shape... Occasionally she is helped by 'the wind horses': horses that appear in different forms and help her like a guardian angel to understand nature, the environment around her, and eventually to save it. Nausca brings an audiovisual performance where four live musicians (harp, strings, drums, electronics, guzheng, nyckelharpa, and yayli tambur...) tell the story of Lung-ta using real film footage, animation video, graphics, and immersive sound. The girl's name refers to the Tibetan prayer flags on which horses are depicted that symbolize the invisible power of the wind that makes the flags move and the own rhythm of nature around us. The story of Lung-ta is an ode to biodiversity and the beauty of nature, but also a wake-up call for how we as a civilization treat that biodiversity.
