Sonic Meditation in the heart of nature

In this special edition of Sonic Meditation we build a new bridge, from meditative sounds to creative improvisation. Two musical jacks-of-all-trades join our session: Bjorn Eriksson (Zita Swoon, Eriksson Delcroix) and saxophonist Hanne De Backer. We start our evening traditionally with an idiosyncratic sound journey through Gregory Batens (acoustic instruments) and Dimitri Vossen (electronics). From this flows organically a musical ambient jam session with both guest musicians. Elke Sonic Meditation is a sound-rich journey to a place where time slows down and attention deepens. What makes these sessions special is the instrumentation: a dialogue between organic and electronic - percussion, gongs, singing bowls and flutes enter into connection with deep ambient drones and inscrutable field recordings. Together they create a wide sound carpet that envelops and carries you. What is the impact of a healing sound meditation on the musicians, their music, the audience? We want to discover it together with you. A unique evening calls for a unique location. We have chosen the ‘Zanderzebos’ in Godsheide - a hidden oasis of peace and stillness, in the middle of the Limburg nature.
