Choir concert InCanto Vocale conducted by Eva Vermeren: Mysteria Dolorosa with Kristin Meerts

In the “Psalter van Maria”, which found its entry from the 14th century and received its fixed form of “rosary” in the 15th century, it was the custom to interrupt the series of Hail Marys at fixed moments for the contemplation of established mysteries of faith (“mysteries”). For the series of 5 sorrowful mysteries, InCanto Vocale, under the direction of Eva Vermeren, draws from the rich treasure of Renaissance motets around this theme. The choral pieces are brought together with creations by composer Dagmar Feyen, who writes original compositions commissioned by the choir, provides existing choral pieces with his own arrangement, and lets recorder sounds enter into dialogue with the choir.
