Hella

Four female voices that merge into warm, clear, and colorful harmonies. Hella is a young a cappella quartet from Ghent. With their debut album ‘Meeremin’, they bring the power and vulnerability of the female voice to the fore. They were inspired by women who have used their voices throughout the centuries and give that a contemporary meaning with their music. The music of Hella builds a bridge between past and present, between traditional and original compositions, arrangements, and Dutch-language lyrics. In 2024, Hella was awarded the ‘Flanders Folk Award’ for most promising band, a recognition for their unique sound and potential.
