The 11 Bxl – Women’s Sports Pop-Up

What if there was a place in Brussels where women’s sport was always on? That’s the idea behind The 11 Bxl, a new project created by Support’Her ASBL and dedicated to giving women’s sport the visibility and space it deserves. For its very first edition, The 11 Bxl is partnering with Calidum Canis/Ebrius Artis, a bar in the heart of Brussels, to create a temporary home for women’s sport for 11 days. At the centre of the programme will be the FIBA Women’s Basketball World Cup, with the Belgian Cats on screen as they take on the world. But basketball is only the beginning. Throughout the pop-up, you’ll be able to discover and watch a variety of women’s sports, alongside a programme of community activities, talks, quizzes, DJ sets and other events. Whether you’re already a passionate sports fan, curious to discover a new sport, or simply looking for a welcoming place to have a drink and enjoy the atmosphere, everyone is welcome. The 11 Bxl is about more than watching sport. It’s about bringing people together, creating more visibility for women athletes and showing what a permanent home for women’s sport in Brussels could look like.
