SAGAL/GASAP 2025 -2026

GASAP stands for solidarity purchasing groups for peasant agriculture or SAGAL in Dutch (solidarity purchasing group for agro-ecological agriculture). A GASAP is a group of citizens who work directly together with a farmer to regularly buy organic seasonal products. GASAP members order a basket of vegetables, which Maarten, our farmer, delivers every week in Ten Weyngaert. On Thursday morning, Maarten goes to his field and chooses 6 or 7 different types of vegetables, which he brings to us in large crates. To keep costs low, a member of GASAP receives the vegetables and prepares everyone's basket. With these orders, we guarantee our farmer a fixed income (not dependent on markets and wishes of distributors). That is why we do everything we can to order a basket of vegetables every week or every two weeks. He commits himself to deliver organic products to us, mainly from his own production.
