Fate brought me to this beautiful country 10 years ago, where life is fantastic, but where things also go fantastically wrong so often. That too is fate and that too I embrace with pleasure. Jan Jaap van der Wal is now 10 years “Flemish in training” and can no longer be imagined out of the Flemish theaters and on television. The love is mutual and to celebrate that, Jan Jaap is bringing his biggest show to date in Flanders. Because whether we go under due to a possible war, or a budget deficit, or we choke on a shrimp croquette at the seaside; we are going under anyway and let's do it with a big smile. With opening act by Laurien Vereecken at 7:30 PM. Laurien Vereecken is a comedian and author of the hilariously recognizable novel Sex and the Shitty. She is a Get Up Stand Up alumna, ½ of Choux Choux Comedy in Brussels, and finalist of the Lunatic Comedy Award 2026. She is a relatively well-behaved farmer's daughter who talks about love, life, and disturbingly often about noodles with swan sausages. Whatever you do, don't start about Australia, because yes, she lived there.
