Book Festival: Signing session Rik Vanwalleghem

On Sunday, November 8th, Rik Vanwalleghem will sign the book 'Smet' at Standaard Boekhandel Tremelo. Roeselare, summer 1914. Albert and Marie look to the future with full confidence together with their two young children. Tot de Eerste Wereldoorlog breaks out. Albert is mobilized and ends up in southern France as an exile. Marie stays behind in the occupied city. In a succession of fateful events, the couple tries to bridge time and distance to preserve their love and innocence. This literary reconstruction of the story of Albert and Marie brings to light a family secret that was kept silent for generations. Now it finally gets a place.
