During the Week of the Bee, we will go looking for bumblebees together. On this walk, you will get to know our fluffiest wild bees and learn a lot about their way of life and relationship with certain plants. You probably already knew that they are important pollinating insects, but had you already heard of the long-tongues and short-tongues? We will also teach you how to recognize the different species of bumblebees: the Red-tailed bumblebee, Akkerhommel of Boomhommel will no longer be a mystery to you... and who knows, we might even get to see rare species like the impressive Red-shanked carder bee! Park 58 is a warm and sheltered dune area with many flowering herbs; so certainly suitable as a habitat for bumblebees!
