Robrecht looks at his love. There she sits, headphones on, thumb on the screen, probably looking for baby stuff. She wants a child. They are about to embark on that adventure – the last strip is out of the packaging, the hormones are finding their rhythm, life is ready for the next step. Just, as it should be. Apart from his receding hairline, everything seems fine for Robrecht. He has a job, a girlfriend, a life that runs smoothly. But still there is that restlessness: the world around him is raging. War, climate, the unhinged fellow human being. And then there is that other doubt – love itself. He falls in love so easily, what if he can't keep it up? What if he soon, in the middle of the storm, no longer knows how to keep standing? The future wobbles like a drunkard. Will he throw everything overboard tonight? Robrecht Vanden Thoren (1982) acts in numerous films and series, from ‘De laatste zomer’ to ‘Flikken’ and ‘Undercover’ to the Emmy winning ‘Wat Als?’. Most people know him, however, from the Eén series ‘Tom & Harry’ and from his memorable performance in the film ‘Hasta la Vista’, for which he won the prize for best actor at the Internationaal Filmfestival van Cinoche (Quebec).
