Koninklijk Paleis

Het Koninklijk Paleis in Brussels is the administrative residence and the main workplace of the King. He works there daily with his staff. In his office at the Koninklijk Paleis in Brussels, the King receives representatives of political institutions, foreign guests (Heads of State, ambassadors), and other invitees. In addition to the office of the King and that of the Queen, the services of the Huis van Zijne Majesteit de Koning are also located in the Koninklijk Paleis: the Cabinet of the King, the Secretariat-General, the Civiele Lijst, the Militair Huis, the Protocol service, and the Secretariat of the Queen. The other members of the Koninklijke Familie as well as their staff have an office there. Het Paleis also has Salons of exceptional splendor where various activities of the King and Queen are organized (work meetings and round tables, receptions, concerts, lunches,...) as well as apartments that are made available to heads of state during official visits. Since 1965, tradition has it that the Koninklijk Paleis in Brussels is opened annually to the general public so that they can also admire the splendor of these historic salons.
