KATI is a combination of a little-known residential area KAaskorf with an important nature reserve TIenbunder. The first stop is a visit to the Mini-Efteling, life's work and/or out-of-hand hobby of Willy. De Kaaskorf, long ago an - illegal? - tolerated collection of weekend houses in a forest, is now, after a contested history, a recognized regulated area for limited residential opportunities. De Kaaskorf borders on Tienbunder, formerly the playground of cyclocrosser Roland Liboton and now a beautiful nature reserve, owned by Natuurpunt. The schollenkot on top of Tienbunder is a witness to iron sandstone extraction. Tienbunder is also a crime scene of a mysterious brutal murder that is still unsolved after 100 years. Along the way, we will visit the vineyard of Danouise. Back at our starting point around 5:00 PM. Sturdy footwear is recommended.
