Sandra has her own feminist bookstore and enjoys living alone in her cozy apartment. After all, she can find love and adventure in her extensive bookcase. When a tragedy turns the lives of her neighbors across the hall completely upside down, Sandra’s self-chosen loneliness no longer holds up. Moved by the young single father Alex and encouraged by his talkative six-year-old son Elliot, the distance between both apartments becomes smaller and smaller.
